Canada Goose and newly hatched gosling chick on the Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge. I was nearby when I heard a lot of cackling and honking going on in a ravine near the Tualatin River. When I went to the edge of the ravine to check it out, I saw two adult Canada Geese and several very young chicks, probably just hatched. They didn't seem to mind me taking photographs like this one. After a few minutes of the young ones climbing all about this adult goose, they waddled off toward the river.
